In August 2025, Yunnan Duobao Cable Group spearheaded the development of three provincial local standards specifically addressing ABC packaging requirements for the Lancang-Mekong region. These standards—covering overhead conductors, insulated cables, and insulated wires—aim to establish scientific, uniform packaging protocols that ensure products arrive at construction sites undamaged and ready for efficient installation.

The new standards address the unique environmental challenges of the Lancang-Mekong region, which encompasses varied tropical climates with high humidity, intense UV exposure, and seasonal precipitation patterns. Traditional packaging methods have proven inadequate for protecting ABC systems during extended storage and transportation under these conditions.
The specifications establish rigorous testing protocols for packaging materials, including:

UV stabilization requirements for packaging exposed to sunlight during storage
