AAC

AAC (All-Aluminum Conductor) is a type of electrical conductor made entirely of aluminum wires. It is mainly used in urban areas with short distances and close supports, used in overhead electric power transmission and distribution lines with various grade voltages. It mainly used as bare overhead transmission cable and as primary and secondary distribution cable. It is also suitable for laying across basins, rivers and valleys where special geographical features exist. Its characteristics are good corrosion resistance, and it can also be used near the coast.

Conductor：This bare concentric-lay stranded conductor is constructed with a straight round central wire surrounded with one or more layers of helically layed wires. These conductors are alsomanufactured as compact conductors if required.

Application：Some common applications of AAC conductors include:
1.Transmission lines: Although less commonly used in high-voltage transmission lines compared to other conductors like ACSR, AAC conductors are still used in some applications where high conductivity and low weight are important considerations.
2.Distribution lines: AAC are frequently used in medium-voltage distribution lines to transmit electricity from substations to homes and businesses.
3.Rural and remote areas: All aluminum conductors are the popular choice for power transmission and distribution systems in rural and remote areas due to their light weight and ease of installation.
4.Coastal areas: The corrosion resistance of aluminum makes all aluminum conductors suitable for use in coastal areas where there is a risk of corrosion from saltwater and high humidity.
5.Urban areas: All aluminum conductors are also used in urban areas where the lightweight construction allows for easier installation on poles and towers in areas where space is limited.
Standards: All aluminum conductors meets or exceeds the following standards: IEC61089, BS215, DIN48201, ASTM B231, BS EN50182, GB/T1179-2008.
